I'm Currently Feeling: | Blocking my period... maybe I'm crazy I'm waiting for a laparoscopy after finding out that my right fallopian tube is completely blocked. I was told to call them as soon as my period started. Only it was due on 3rd April and still hasn't started and I'm in quite a bit of pain. I was worried it might be another ectopic pregnancy so called my Dr and went to see him yesterday (only turned out he wasn't there so it was a she). Anyway, they did urine and blood tests and I'm definitely not pregnant so then she told me that I was mentally blocking out my period and as soon as I accepted I wasn't pregnant it would come. Ummm, so I'm crazy then?? Believe me, there are many times that if I could have stopped my period coming I would have!! And I want it this time, because I want the damn laparoscopy so we can get on and try for a baby again. So now I just have to wait for it, it's never been 7 days late before (when I'm not pregnant!) and I hurt and I'm grumpy... anyone else ever managed to psychologically block out their period?? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ahhh, so that's what the little is for, new here and trying to get used to all the smileys and abbreviations!
Yeah, really, if I could wish my period away I would. And the way the Dr said it, it was like I was wasting her time and doing it on purpose. | | | | Status: Offline

Switching back on topic, it sounds like you had a doc with a really bad bedside manner. Probably what she's getting it is what Vickie said, and if you are anxious about something it can muck your cycle up. Hope the witch comes soon and you can get your lap. Alternatively hope you get a and don't need it!!! | | | | Status: Offline

What's a BFP? New here and trying to pick up the lingo. | | | | Status: Offline
