newly diagnosed endometriosis

hi everyone,
i hope im not intruding since im not long term TTC (only 4 months) and I dont want to undermine the pain some of your ladies go through ttc for years on end, but I was just diagnosed with endo when I thought that my extremely late AF was a bfp so im pretty down and terrified that ttc will be a very difficult thing. my dr. even suggested that I try fertility meds if i dont concieve after laproscopy. im scared and heartbroken...

I don't have endo but I was just diagnosed with pcos and my doctor is putting me on fertility meds straight away. My husband and I had been trying for 8 months (not to much longer than you) and I'm having surgery on wednesday actually to remove a cyst. From what I am hearing from ALOT of people there are so many advances now that some people conceive after one round of clomid! Stay positive I know its hard but I bet you get a BFP very soon!!

zoe dont give up hope honey you've only just started your journey and with any luck it wont be too long or too painful for you.

like the other ladies have said theres a really good chance of conceiving after a lap and if that doesnt happen theres a really good chance clomid could work for you my fs said she wanted to try clomid before they performed a lap and i just got a BFP this weekend after my first month on clomid (2 yrs ttc). i'm still very cautious about it but i wasnt ovulating at all and clomid did the job so it happens, its possible.

just try and stay strong and be positive about the options that you do have rather than the shit you've been dealt so far. good luck!!

Hi Zoe

I found out I have endo last July - wasn't a suprise at all. I'm not a Hypochondriac but I've always known that something was wrong, so it was nice to know I wasn't being a freak when I said my periods were agony!! My doc said that within the 1st 3 months you have the best chance of conceiving. I've missed the boat with the 3 months - but I know it will happen, we all just have to be super patient.

If you're offered meds - grab them with both hands!!

The doc wanted to check my bloods last month to see if I'm ovulating with the view of taking fertility meds, but I've opted to wait a few months as we're buying a new house so I guess it'll be better once OH and I are settled.

Good luck, try not to be down about, you're not alone!!

Big Hugs xx
