Depo Provera in the UK


Hey Ladies, sorry to invade over here.
I amlookingfor information on How long UK GP's are leaving it until the chase up your period after your Depo runs out.
Mine has said I have to wait a full year from my Last injection which is March.
I am going to contact the manufacturers Pharmacia regarding this but thought I would ask you wise ladies whatyou thought.
We have only wanted to try for a month I know this isn't longbut GP made out like I could have got pregnant anytime in the last 8 months, I would Like to assure her my body has beenin stasus all that time.

i cant help with your question but just wanted ot let you know Pharmacia got taken over by pfizer, so you will have to contact them ( used to work for them)

Yeah I say that but couldn't decide which way it had gone.Iwilltry the number they have supplied on the net and if no luck will try pfizer.

It can take ages for the depot to get out of your system. I work in the NHS and have heard for it taking up to a year for cycles to return
he depot is horrid for screwing up cycles and delaying the return of fertility but you should have been told this before you got it!!

It's difficult to sort out as it's a case of waiting!

I have hard of people having Clomid but they are all in the states.
I am now just so upset by it especially as Ihad the tinyiest bit of spotting nearly 2 weeks ago which I think most people would think was implantation but I am sure I have not ovulated

It took me 2 months, Do you girls know how it the depot works? I think understanding the drug helps ease the confusion.

Yeah it's a big shot of sinthetic progesteron that sortofputs your eggs in stasus they don't develope and descend and you produce sperm killing CM.
Iam still in this stasssus aftermyinjection ranout in June 08 so no period and no ovulation to yet be I have been monitoring since 15th January
