Lap number 3?

Hi all!
I could really use some advice. I have had 2 laps. The last one opened my left tube and I was able to get pregnant that very cycle. I lost my baby and my tubes are both blocked again. I am waiting for IVF, but the doc said I MIGHT have a shot on my own if I do another lap...

I'm just not sure. He says the chances are small, but better then the zero chance now. I just don't know if I could handle going through another lap and then finding out my tubes closed up again or it didn't work.

Hey Wish

I don't know if this will help but here goes... When I was trying a long time ago with my ex husband we had no chance to concieve naturally as he was completely sterile and then it made the procedures really stressful as we knew there was no way to concieve at any other point.

But, with my lovely hubby now we do have a chance to conceive naturally in between procedures and whilst unlikely, it still means that we get a possible 12 attempts each year (some better than others with treatment obviously).

Do you see what I mean? Even if its unlikely, if there is a chance to make you able to conceive naturally I personally would take it. If the lap doesn't open your tubes, you have tried and you still have IVF to get your BFP. Having had a lap in Nov, I know they are not much fun but if you got success once, there's a chance it could happen again?

I think you are right. If I can try what I can until IVF then what could it hurt? I will talk to RE in a few weeks and see what we can pull off. It's looking like April is not going to happen.. so I am looking at the August cycle now.

but I guess that gives me more time to try on my own.

hi didnt want to read & run as i am having a lap in 2 days time & am soo scared lol!! I would prob have another lap as it worked for you before......good luck & heres hoping we all get our lovely bfp's real soon xx

Hun ive had my 3rd lap 2 months ago. No choice for me had to get it done and im starting ivf in a few days time.
