Red face

Newbie - trying IVF for first time

Hello all,
I have just signed up to this forum and not sure what really to expect having never joined a blog\forum before!

I'm 42 and have been trying to get pregnant now for over 3 years, tried Chlomid but this didn't work so we're having ONE attempt at IVF. Only ONE attempt because that's our decision to not get obsessed by it and also as we have to pay for it also!

We're just waiting for blood test results to come back and then I can order the drugs and we can start the treatment on my next cycle which will be around the beginning of May.
Just wondered if there was any advice out there for new IVF starters.

Jan

Hi Jan!

Good luck with the IVF I am also waiting for my next cycle to begin taking the drugs, so we could be going through IVF at the same time!

So far I have been 'preparing' my body by eating really well, taking vitamins, eating Brazil nuts, switching from skimmed to semi-skimmed milk, eating more proteins which all apparently help. That's just info I have picked up from forums so I can't confirm if it's right but I am enjoying eating non-diet food (for a change!) all the same

Take care & hope you get that BFP
