Has anyone used the hcg trigger shot to induce ovulation??

If so, do you know how much hcg you took? I think it's usuallly 5,000ml or 10,000 ml but not sure?

I took it this last week. I am not sure but its 250ug or soemthing like that - ovridel.....

It was fine, it caused a little brown discharge after I ovulated for a few days but that is apparantly a good thing

I did clomid with the trigger shot back in 2007 and it was the ONLY time in the past 12 years that I got pregnant!! Unfortunately, it ended in m/c at 10 weeks =(
I was taking hcg for weightloss recently and forgot to count off the days for ovulation b/c dh and I weren't ttc...but after I realized that I had given myself an injection of hcg the day before I ovulated AND we bd'd..I got nervous and thought I may have gotten pg again (although it wouldn't be a BAD thing!)
So..when AF showed up I figured one of two things happened..either A. I DO need the clomid along with it..or B. I didn't inject ENOUGH to induce ovulation. I think it may be a combination of the two.
I've got some clomid left over..it's been in a sealed airtight foil package, but the exp. on it is dec. 2009..so I'm not sure if it's still ok to take ?!

I wouldnt take it unless the doctor says ok................

Doctor has..prescribed the same thing..I'm just wondering if I can use up what I already have instead of having to buy more =(
