? | That's a bit of gobbledeegook to me - but hey - it only takes one little swimmer. Try not to let it get you down, and chat to the consultant next week. Make sure you write down any questions you have, cuz if you're anything like me, you get all emotional and then your mind goes blank.
Good luck next week | | | | Status: Offline

? | Vol - ok pH - ok vitality - normal is 75% viable so you're a little short. (how long they live) count - 40 million is normal (how many sperm per sample) motility - 50% or more with forward progression is normal. (how they move, and if they move forward or in circles or too slow, etc.) morphology - 30% or more with normal forms (sperm have to have a head and a tail. morphology deals with sperm that have no tails, two tails, wonky shapes etc.)

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry to hear about the results hun, its never easy to hear such results but it is better to find out sooner rather than later.
From what I can gather, the UK medical system is much more behind in terms of fertility treatment than what it is here in Australia, so even though you guys have only been trying for 6 months you now know that there is evidence of infertility with yourself and your OH, so I would be asking your GP if you can get an early referral to a fertility specialist.
I hope i'm not daunting you by all of this but my hubby has very low motility, count etc so i'm quite educated with treatments for male factor infertility.
I won't tell you not to stress because thats impossible, but definitely ask for an early referal to a FS at your next appointment hun. Sending you huge hugs and if you have any questions i'm more than happy to answer them for you | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, sperm are so affected by life syle and diet. There are so many things you can do to help. There are some goo books one by a doctor called Marion Glenville and another by Zita West. They both explain what can be done to help. The Zita west book I have recently bought and it has a good section in it on sperm count which makes it clearer to interpret the results. Hope it helps. If you need more info let me know! | | | | Status: Offline
