High LH/FSH (PCOS) and ovulation

Hi, Iīve been diagnosed recently that I have PCOS because my LH / FSH ratio is 3:1, which is a clear PCOS case.

Iīve been researched on the internet that when the LH/FSH ratio is so high, it is quite impossible to ovulate on your own. As such, I would want to ask if any of you has a high LH/FSH ratio and still has been able to ovulate on your own?

I donīt want to try Clomid immediately, since I would still want to have a natural BFP as far as possible.

Does anybody know how to decrease the LH/FSH ratio?

has your doc not suggested you try metformin before clomid? that should even out your ratios and get you ovulating on your own.

Do you mean LH - 11.5, FSH 1.7? Cos the other way round doesnīt make sense to want to lower your FSH??

I heard that temping will tell if you hve ov. But I havenīt gotten down to doing it because you have to take your temps at the same time everyday and I wake up at different times on most days, so havenīt got down to temping yet....

Do you exercise a lot? I exercise enough, 1x swimming, 1xpilates and 1 x jogging a week. But thatīs not overdoing it,cos Iīve been doing it for the longest time...plus I think I put on a bit weight recently so I want to lose it!

Hi DragonMummy. Does metformin work for everybody? Does it have any side effects?

hi i meant 11.7 FSH and 1.7 LH. Fsh mean a dimishing egg reserve hence i want to reduce.
i was going to gym and doing cardio ,bodypump and running about 5 times a week but now i do spinning x1, need to start walking more and start pilates

What u are doing sounds good...

Hey Muncho.
I think we have reverse problems. I want to reduce my LH and you want to reduce your FSH. Donīt really know how to do that. Actually I donīt really care about LH or FSH as long as I can ovulate naturally and get pregnant! Wahhahaha.....who cares about these ratios man.....
