id be interested in knowing this too...i only have 1 ovary & 1 tube ( on same side) .....my fs knows i only have the 1 & when i mentioned iui she didnt say i couldnt have it, she just said that it wouldnt be funded by nhs as we have our daughter x

i had IUI in october after 2 years of trying and 9 months of clomid, lap and dye which showed no problems. got my BFP on the first attempt using 100mg clomid and hcg trigger shot.

I had my IUI done November 13th and got a positive HPT today (15 days later.) I'll have a blood test done on Monday. I'm not really believing it yet. We've been trying for 8 years and have unexplained infertility. This is the first medical tactic we've tried.

This is a really great thread, my oh and I have talked about going down the IUI route if clomid does not work, I am on my 3rd round this month but hoping to have a chat with my GP next week about what else we can do, if its on the nhs or if its private and if so how much etc,

so nice to see some good success stories, we need those!!

I tried IUI twice and it worked the second time. I tried it first in Sept 09, and second in October 09 and had a positive test 13 days later. The only thing I didn't like about the procedure was that it was painful and I was completely awake for it. I told myself, my husband, and the docs that if it didn't work the second time, that I would never do it again, because it hurt so bad. But it worked! =)
