How could you increase EWCM naturally?

Any thoughts?

Hi,

I have made a discovery today, its not a natural way but concieve plus is meant to be really good.

How long have you been trying? I am on my first round of clomid 100mg and have fount having really difficult as the clomid has made me very dry downstairs, so i am hoping the concieve plus will work!
Praying for my this month and to you all

Drink lots of water, avoid any antihistamines....including natural ones (Vitamin C is a very good natural antihistamine - and therefore dries up any mucus...nasal or cervical...not what you want in this case) and I also take 2000mg of Evening Primrose Oil each cycle up until ovulation, which works a treat. Do not take this after Ov as it can cause mild uterine contractions and therefore is a small miscarriage risk. I supplement with Vegetarian Omega 3,6 and 9's after ovulation.

I was worried my CM may be affected once I went on Clomid, but doing the above has me practically drowning in the stuff each cycle now!

You can also take Guafanesin - avaiable from most pharmacists as non-branded or branded is Robitussin Chesty Cough Syrup. This thins the bodies mucus secretions and helps them flow. Also try Pelvic floor exercises just before sex.....sometimes you have plenty of CM but it is hihg......Pelvic floors exercises will push it down and to where it should be, as will a bowel movement.

OMG: i didn't know that about antihistamines! I am allerrgic to my dogs and have to take one a day!

I am going to try using the concieve plus this month because i have noticed that i am very dry since i have been taking the CLOMID but the antihistamines must be helping aswell!

Do you think the concieve plus will help me? as i can't stop taking the antihistamines????

amy, I have to take antihistamine daily too due to an allergy to dustmites, have done so for over 7 years now and couldn't function withoutit, and yes, I don't get ewcm any longer. I have used preseed and did manage to get pg once (mc early), so it is possible. I heard conceive plus was better than preseed so might use this this cycle.

I think it really depends on your circumstances. We've used Preseed in the past.....a very similar thing, and have suffered two miscarriages. My husband has very low morphology and our Fertility Specialist explained that the miscarriages may have been due to the fact that the Preseed doesn't filter out bad sperm the way our bodies natural mucus does, and in our case that this may have been the reason behind our miscarriages.

He went on to explain that therefore in some cases that no mucus (albeit - it is actually rare to have none at all. It is more likely to be non visible or 'reachable') is preferable to the 'fake' ones, and that if needed should only be used in tiny amounts for lubrication for initial entry. He did say that in tests they have done in clinic, out of all of the marketed lubricants Preseed was the best, but whilst they have been designed to be as close as possible to the bodies own mucus, they are still in fact going to kill some sperm as they aren't identical.

Nowadays, I'm defintely a fan of trying the natural way first, so maybe see if any of the methods above can help you before turning to it, but its your choice, if you know you have no sperm problems and defintely have no mucus and no way of increasing otherwise then you could try it....but I guess the phrase "Preseed with caution" springs to mind!
