Clomid can increase the chance of twins, even in those who don't ovulate. Are you being prescribed Clomid from a Doctor? I would be careful unless you've been to a GP honey. Multiple pregnancies can bring on complications of their own, even when they aren't chemically induced. Also, clomid increases the risk of m/c - so it's only used when absolutely necessary

YES I will be prescribed this by a DR, I have my testing this month. 3/18 u/s, 3/19 testing & 3/20 consulation, it is going to be one busy week.

The only set back might be I have a cyst and if it is still there I will not be able to start!

I just wnat this TTC stuff to be over with it is so stressful.

Hello

I have just been prescribed clomid. Me and DH have been ttc for over 3 years, although we only recently decided to seek help.

He's had his little swimmers tested, and all is okay. I've had the yucky bits done, and been told I'm all okay. I have a regular cycle, and ovulate every time, but still nothing for us.

The consultant has given us the options of waiting for the NHS IVF/ICSI/IUI route, which has an 18 month wait time, or going private which will take about 6 weeks. She said not to rush the decision, as private is costly, and recommended that we try clomid for 3 months with the chance to extend by another 3 months. I am only on the 50mg dosage as she said that it was just giving my ovaries a bit of a boost to make sure I have a good strong ovulation - or something like that. She told me that there is a 1 in 10 chance of twins, but that still means 9 in 10 chance of a singleton.

We're giving clomid a try for 3 months while we decide whether to go private or not. £4000+ would go a LONG way to decorating a nursery and getting everything we would need for a new arrival.

Don't know if any of that helps. Let us know how you get on.

xx
