| Anyone taking letrozole (femara) instead of clomid? My doctor put me on letrozole, which does the same thing as clomid but without drying up my CM or thinning the endometrial lining. Just wondering if anyone else was using letrozole too? Seems like clomid is more popular.... | | | | Status: Offline

| I have taken Femara for the first time this month. I ovulate on my own too. I was on clomid for 4 months and it did well but my new FS wanted me to take Femara because he says that with Clomid, it produces a lot of follicles, but with Femara it produces 1 or 2 good quality eggs. Increasing the chances of pregnancy in older women. (I am 37)
Why did they prescribe it to you all? Good luck to all of you and to us all! | | | | Status: Offline

| My consultant prescribed me Femara as I did not want to take Clomid because of the awful side effects. I have secondary infertility so I presume he thinks this might help?
P.S. Im 35 so hope it works for me soon x | | | | Status: Offline

| My OB/GYN prescribed it to me because of a weird luteal phase. I already ovulate on my own, but I tend to spot for days before my period starts, usually beginning around 6DPO. He said this should stop the spotting. We'll see what happens..... | | | | Status: Offline

| Oh! You know what they say, you learn something new everyday. I didn't know that! I guess we will see how it goes this month for both of us. You for just the Femara and me the Femara and Prometrium twice a day. FX for both of us that it will work this cycle! | | | | Status: Offline
