| results? when were you told? Had lap on thursday (12th), have been told that it will be six weeks before i find out results, is this normal? From reading the other threads it seems that some people are told straight away! | | | | Status: Offline

| I got my results the same day. well doc told my DH as I was still out of it then he told me at my follow up appt. Unless they took something to test I don't see why the results would take so long. What was the purpose of the lap? | | | | Status: Offline

| Hi, I had to wait ages for my results too, although the surgeon did come and see me after the op but I was so out of it still that I didn't really understand what he was telling me I remember he showed me some photos. It took 6 weeks before my notes got back to the fertility office, they then called me to arrange follow up appointment. Its crazy they make people wait that long! | | | | Status: Offline

| I had lap to check if my fallopian tubes were blocked as hsg showed some blockage. After lap in hdu, the surgeon said yes they are blocked and that was it. Maybe im was expecting too much, i thought they would tell me how badly they were blocked etc. She did mention that one tube looked inflamed but didnt expand on this so now im worried about that too. Rang consultants secretary today, and guess what, he's on holiday, typical, so who knows when ill get to see him. His secretary did say i will get results through the post, is this right?/
Anyway thanks for support, appreciate it x | | | | Status: Offline

| Hey
I am sorry they have left you in limbo. When I had my first lap the consultant spoke to my DH briefly and then I saw him a week later.
To be honest I couldnt wait six weeks to be told. In fact I think thats pretty appaling honey. I would get in touch with the secretary again.
Also a letter isn't approriate. They should be seeing you face to face for a follow up to make sure your well.
It sounds like an oversight at their end. Ring them and ask how you can find out sooner.

| I thought it was a bit odd that i had to wait so long, like you said maybe it's a good sign. It just seems that your constantly waiting every step of the way, i just want to know, feel like my life has been on hold just waiting for answers. I was told to ring at end of this month but after reading your replies will try sooner.
Thanks all x | | | | Status: Offline
