| HSG Disaster I went for my second HSG attempt yesterday, the first one didnt work out because my cervix was too open according to the doc.
yesterday she put in the spetulum and started struggling to put in the catheter, but she couldnt, it wouldnt go through, she tried puttingin the smallest size and it wouldnt go in (for all of you who have been through this, you know how uncomfortable this is), and so she investigated and it looks like there is quite a large growth in my cervix (which is actually keeping it way to open for someone who has never had a child, so she says), and she stopped the procedure and told me that I am going to have to have an operation under general anestecia to have the growth removed so it can be biopsied to check whether its benigh or malignant.
I cannot even explain how i feel. | | | | Status: Offline

| Oh Hun! I am so sorry you had such a hard time. Hopefully the growth is benign and you get better soon. Have you been in any sort of pain because of the growth? I really hope its something simple to take care of.
When will you have the operation?

| I am so sorry you are having to go through that. Did your gyni not see it when you got your pap smear? I had a growth on my cervix before and it was a nobothian cyst. (blood filled cyst) I went and had it removed and had no problems since. This was back in 05. I hope you get some good news. Thinking of you! | | | | Status: Offline

| Hi hunni, i'm so sorry you've been through it twice with no luck, you are very brave. I went for HSG this week and was not brave at all, got so emotional about the whole thing, so uncomfortable and when they had began, had to stop as I had thrush (I didn't know I had thrush!- no symptoms at all) I couldn't go through with another one again at the moment, not strong enough. I really hope that it gets sorted out for you hun, lots of hugs xxx | | | | Status: Offline
