IUI Waiting list

Hi Girls,

I was just wondering if any1 knows what the waiting list is like for IUI ?? me and my partner have been trying for 6 months and have now found out he has LOW Sperm count

we have decided to wait until next year to start trying again as we have a big holiday planned and I dont want to be pregnant. So was wondering weather to put our names down yet??

I think it depends on your local area. There was no waiting list as such for IUI in my area but that was once you had got your referral to the fertility clinic. We got referred to the clinic after a year of trying and the referral took 6 months. Once we were in the system they then put us through the various recommended treatments and investigations (Clomid, HyCoSi, Lap and Dye and repeated sperm tests at various stages them more clomid). So almost a year after the first referral (e.g. 2 years of trying) we got the IUI. If you want an exact date to get your treatment to suit your life plan I suggest you go private.
