Question

Anyone on Clomid NHS North Wales - Monitoring question?

Hi

I'm due for my hospital appointment on monday for my first Clomid round.

Can anyone tell me if they have experience if NHS in this area and what monitoring they carry if any?

I know this differs throughout the UK. Do they do blood tests or scans or anything at all?

Also do they prescribe more than one round at a time?

I know I'll have all of these answers on Monday but as many of you know the waiting is a killer and it's a year since I first visited my GP and so far it been tests, tests, tests......

The other question I have is, as my BMI is over 30 is 50mg likely to work?

I haven't ovulated since May 2008 (we started TTC March 2008)

All my hopes are on this

Hi
Welcome to lttc. Where in North Wales are u? I'm originally from Wrexham. I like in Runcorn now so have been treated at Warrington General.I was give 50 mg of clomid for 3 months no monitoring but I could feel it working as I am 35 and only have one tubes after 3 months I had a lap and dye. Generally they will let you have six months you may need to push for monitoring as I think the nhs may not bother unless you ask due to the cost. Good luck a d hope you get your bfp very soon x

Thanks, I'm from Wrexham.
So you think that if I ask for the monitoring they might do it?
