Oh No...setback :(

This cycle was my first month on clomid. The FS gave me 100mg for days 5-9. I went for my ultrasound where they found like 8 follicles. I was told that this was a lot and I decided to cancel this cycle. Well I was supposed to ovulate a few days ago so I went for a blood test to confirm. Turns out my estrogen level shot way up (3800) and I was told to keep using protection. They also said that if I get too bloated or have any pain in my abdomen to call them right away. Sooo...I guess they are concerned about OHSS and also with cysts. They mentioned that I might need to go on birth control next month to get me back on track. So now we can't try this month and possibly next month. I am upset that they started me on such a high dose. I am also upset that I had to call them and they didn't call me right away about my estrogen levels. I am thinking about changing doctors but this will set us back even more!!!

I'm really just venting. Thanks for listening.

Aw hun I am sorry. Hopefully they will get the dose sorted and there will be no stopping you. At least you know you respond, albeit this was an extreme way to find out. Best of luck with the next cycle whenever that will be. XX

That is a high dose to start you out on, I'm sorry for the delay.
