Can someone tell me about their experience with clomid?

I am currently getting all my blood tests done before starting this, we have our first clomid visit March 20th. Can you tell me how it was for you and how long it to you to get pregnant. I am Oing I just need it b/c my cycles are too long and I have a weak O. Also I only have one ovary which right now has a cyst and they wnat to get me pregnant with #2 ASAP so I do not lose my ovary before then. thanks

Howdy. I have PCOS and they put me on clomid. I was on two cycles of it and got my BFP after the second cycle. The side effects weren't horrid. Headache, some dizziness, hot flashes, one day of bitchiness...nothing unbearable. My first cycle of 50mgs I ovulated, so I did another cycle and they said I did NOT ovulate...but turns out I ovulated a week later than they would've thought. Good Luck!

I am Oing, so they are using it for me b/c 1. my cycles are longer and longer each month so they want to make my O stronger and 2. I ahve a cyst so they want to get me knock up ASAP.

Do you think b/c I am already Oing on my own and just need to it make it a stronger O that I could possibly get BFP the first cycle using it? If I do my EDD would be my daughters b-day. Just asking.

I am also starting clomid next cycle. I ov most months but my cycle is very irregular. I am on CD35 and still haven't ov'ed yet. I also have low progesterone. My dr told me to take it on CD5-9. He said I have sub-par ovulation so this is suppose to help produce a strong ovulation. I am suppose to call them on CD11 to arrange for a scan to see if I will be ov from my follicles. Then I need to go in on CD21 for a progesterone and PCOS test. Good luck to us and lots of baby dust!

Lee Ellen it is nice to see your post on the Clomid. It sounds like a few of us are in the same boat. Dr and I discussed Clomid, but I have to do CD3 blood work and HSG next month of we are not PG this month. I have long cycles as well, but am clearly Oing on my own! I think I can handle those side effects, not sure that DH can!

Hi i have just finished my first cycle of Clomid and must have been lucky because i didnt get any side effects.

I have just been for my first scan to check my folicles, they said it was ok but waiting to hear the full results. One thing that does confuse me is, they said i was ovulating fine, so why have they put me on the clomid? Anyone any answer?
