Has anyone ever had this and if so how was it treated?

My estrogen is always borderline high at the start of my cycle. Have you been checked for cysts? That is the primary reason for high estrogen. If you don't have cysts I don't think there is much to do. I was just told that it means my ovaries are aging faster and that also probably why my cycles were short too. One thing to remember though, if your estrogen is high, it will artificially lower your fsh so your fsh will be higher then what it is reported as, meaning you could have a low reserve left and won't reponse well to fertility meds. My FSH was 9, but was likely higher then that with elevated estrogen. I did 2 ivf cycles on high dose of meds and got 6 mature eggs each time that produced 2 embryos each, so not a very good response, but I have gotten pregnant both cycles - this time my only 2 embryos both struck.

I think I may have cysts. I have had in the past, but they tend to go on their own and are not sore. My fsh is 7.35, but I know that can be affected by the estradiol number.

I am having an ultrasound on tues so hopefully will see if it is cysts. I am on clomid so I ma not sure if that may have a bearing on the cysts?

Congrat on your pregnancy. XXX

I also have high estradiol on day 3- mine was at 79 the first time I did the test and then I think 101 or something...the weird thing is that I don't have any cysts and when they did the amh/mis test to see about ovarian reserve, it was normal. I've been thinking about this issue again recently as I'm in the unexplained infertility category and wondering if high estradiol can indicate anything else. Any thoughts on this would be helpful...

MY fsh was is definitely falsely lowered by the estradiol number.

I was wondering whether clomid ( which I have had two cycle of) has affected/given me more cysts. I had one cyst removed/popped when I had my ectopic but I was unaware up until then that I had any.
