progesterone

i had my progesterone levels tested on cd64... and they came back a 6.
my doc said he 'thinks' this would indicate ovulation but is a bit low so tested again 2 weeks later (on wednesday, cd78) and i got the result today - 13.

does this mean i hadnt ovulated on the first test but have now?

could i get 13 but still not have ovulated?

anyone know about this?

thanks

Hi Pixiedust

I have had problems with progeseterone and have looked up normal levels. I found this info on 1 site:

Progesterone during menstrual cycle

Day 1-14 >1 to 1.5 ng/ml

Day 15-28 2-28 ng/ml

Progesterone during pregnancy

First Trimester 9-47 ng/ml
Second Trimester 17-147 ng/ml
Third Trimester 55-200 ng/ml

My doctor told me that progesterone rises after ovualton and then falls again for menstruation. I don't know the answer to your question about when you ovulated - though it does look possible that you ovulated earlier in your cycle. My doctor does ultrasound scans to monitor my follicles to pinpoint ovulation. Could you ask your doctor to do the same? He/she really should be helping you to figure this out. Sorry not to have all of the answers but I hope this info helps. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
