Hey Deeni,

Welcome to the LTTTC

All the tests will be worth it in the end - getting results can only help to moving forward and getting your very own

My HSG was absolutey fine - it was no worse than having a smear test and the discomfort after was so minimal that i popped 2 painkillers and i had no more pain - no bleeding and i was ready for some the following day! xx

i doubt the hsg can be worse than child birth not to mention everyones experience of it is different although if you go in expecting the worst then most likely it wont be that bad.

oh and you are right about ttc forum being too much sometimes, the threads they have about how many bfps in september/october etc are too much to take.

good luckx

I recently moved over here for pretty much the same reason as you. We started trying August 2008, pregnant October 2008, MMC in December 2008 and been trying ever since!

I also got fed up with seeing everyone coming and going with their BFPs. Hope yours (and mine) is a very short stay over here xxx

I recently moved over too! I honestly didn't think I'd reach the year mark.
Had initial blood tests done and all ok, but OH had his first SA and none of the little blighters were swimming, which was the worst possible thing to hear. She said he had to do another test and I remember hearing IVF, but I didn't take much in. Since then I've been on a mission to find the best vitamin tablets for him and he's agreed to give acupuncture a go.
I agree that it doesn't seem fair to have to do all the tests when it comes so easy to so many people, but it's better than not knowing...

Hi Deeni, good luck with all the testing and I hope your stay here is short and you get your BFP soon

You all totally know how I feel. The other forum was wonderful but everyone was getting their BFPs so fast. I am happy for them but sad for me. It was too much.

This HSG test sounds like trouble!! But I will go in expecting the worst, hoping for the best, like some of you said.

I go in tomorrow for the day 3 ultrasound. They are going to give us the results of my hubby's SA and also all the details about scheduling the other tests. Ugh. I was hoping I would be pregnant this month so I didn't have to do all this!!

I think I am going to get Clomid too for some sort of Clomid challenge test. I think it measures my ovarian reserve or something like that.

Thanks for all the kind words and I will try to figure out where to start a journal so I have a place to vent. I'm sure I'll need it over the next month.
