Hi Chellebelle,

I understand ur now a pro at the old clomid was hoping u could help me clarify some things.

is it correct that:

1) i take it on CD2 and this continues for 5days so (cd2-cd-7)
2) I get blood tests done on cd-21.
3) I have a scan on CD-11.

Now here is where some questions come in to play....

a) What time of the day is the best to take it?

b) is ovalation days the same my dr said they will be cd-13 to cd-20 which is my normal ov days
but then I am confused cause i thought clomid was ment to make u ov 24- 36hrs after use? or is that wrong?

c) can normal paracetimal be taken with these?
d) what are the effects if u have them with alcohol I have a 30th coming up?
e) is it liquid someone said they drink it before bed?

Oh I am sooo sorry, I have only just seen this and it says "chellebelle" in the topic!! I have written my answers in pink if you need any further advice, just ask, or even send me a message so that I see it straight away, I am sorry if I came accross as ignorant.

1) i take it on CD2 and this continues for 5days so (cd2-cd-7) - yes, but some people take it days 3-7 and even 5-9... my prescription was 2-6, but this month I tried 3-7 just to see if it made a difference
2) I get blood tests done on cd-21. - yes
3) I have a scan on CD-11. - I haven't had that, but I guess it is different for different people.

further Q's:

a) What time of the day is the best to take it? - I usually take it in the morning, but I guess unless advised otherwise, it is up to you.

b) is ovalation days the same my dr said they will be cd-13 to cd-20 which is my normal ov days but then I am confused cause i thought clomid was ment to make u ov 24- 36hrs after use? or is that wrong? - no you don't ovulate straight after Clomid, in fact, Clomid has made me ovulate a little later than usual... I used to ovulate (which was a rare thing) around cd12, but now it is more like cd15 as an average... you are best charting your temperature or getting a ovulation predictor kit just to be sure.

c) can normal paracetimal be taken with these? - yes, I get headaches whilst taking Clomid, and I use paracetamol for these, my dr. said it is fine.
d) what are the effects if u have them with alcohol I have a 30th coming up? - I have had alcohol whilst taking Clomid and actually thought I was a little more drunk than usual... so I think it might have a slight effect on you, it depends on the individual I suppose. I haven't had any whilst taking Clomid for the last 3 rounds though, just the first round.

e) is it liquid someone said they drink it before bed? - no it is a tiny white tablet usually come in 50mg doses - I have 2 a day as I am on 100mg.

I start clomid March given by my gyni so fingers crossed I am hoping I wont need it this mth tho as me n my oh have done plenty of bedding and I still have a few more days to go.....
