| oh the irony... i had to post this...this sums up everything right now...
was rushed into hospital last monday with awful pain, nausea and dizziness, suspected appendicitis or ectopic pregnancy. Hooked up to a drip, starved, felt awful. urine sample ruled out ectopic pregnancy. 3 days later, they were happy it wasn't appendix so had ultrasound. Good news - no fibroids or obvious probs with womb and ovaries, although a 'dark shadow' was over my right ovary. Cos we're under fertility doc, they discharged me as they felt everything would be investigated as a matter of course. Went into the doc's friday for a blood test (regular at the mo for ovulation check) and got my results back on weds. At last. I had ovulated. Unfortunately, i my 'primetime' had been whilst i was in hospital....typical.
Looks like the pain was caused by ovulation. One of the nurses said the pain could've been through blocked tube - has anyone else heard / experienced this??? it was so painful!
i just can't believe the one time i actually ovulate, it was totally wasted...next time i have that, i know who i'l be ringing first...!!! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm so sorry to hear that, I can't help you with the O pains as I haven't had any but investigations seem to have shown I don't ovulate regularly.
Best of luck for next month, hope you get through it relatively pain free and get a baby in your arms soon. XX |

I'm Currently Feeling: | When i ovulate the pain is so bad i cant even stand up! I'm used to it now though so as soon as i feel it started then out come the painkillers. BD is really painful at that time as i feel so tender inside. I was told it was quite normal for some people, just had to be me!
The pain normally starts down the side then when it gets to its worse its right across the middle of my stomach, is that how it felt for you?
It has been like this for me for years although when it first started they had to rule out appendicitis! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am so sorry Mrs F. I have really bad Ovulation pains on my left side (blocked tube side)... this month I had them for about 4 days, like very bad AF cramps, and sometimes they will just come out of the blue, like a stabbing feeling. The pain is more-so since I have been on Clomid, but I think that is because it increases your ovulation.
The pain makes me not want to BD... but I force myself. Did you bd a day or 2 before the pains? If so you might still be in with a chance. |
