Just a quick question.

Hi ladies,

I just wanna ask a lil question. Have any of u heard of or have a unicorn uterus?
I had all the fertility test done about 9 years ago and found out about mine but at the time i had broke up with my husband so i didn't go into it any further.
My oh and i have been to the fertility clinic today and the consulatant was explaining all about it. I was just wondering if any else had the same or knows any1 who has concieved and had a normal pregnancy.

Good luck to u all xx

Hi Mossip,

I have heard of this, and it is one of the mullerian abnormalities (abnormalities of uterine development)

I have a mullerian abnormality - didelphys - where I have two complete uteri, each with their own tube and ovary. I had one tube removed, so now, effectively have a unicornuate.

My understanding is pregnancy outcome is good. There is increased risk of preterm birth and cervical incompletence, but many women have successful pregnancies.

An aside, but have you had your kidneys checked as these two often go together?

For more info there is a yahoo group for people with these issues. There are many women who have had successful pregnancies - so don't be disheartened. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...rianAnomalies/

There is also this blog which may help answer some questions http://mulleriananomalies.blogspot.c...ered-here.html

I'm happy to answer any questions you have, if I can.

Hugs xx
