| Welcome both and good luck. Mrs Boots, it's interesting to hear about the diabetes thing as my Gp didn't think it would be a problem. |

| Back again after taking metformin for 4 days. My consultant said I should start with 250mg a day and build up by 250mg per week. Thank goodness I did start small as I've suffered bad headaches and nausea. Yuk. Finally nausea subsided today but my goodness the headaches..Really hope this doesn't last - god knows what it'll be like on Friday when I increase the dose...
Good luck to everyone else on met... | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | So... since I started this thread a couple of months ago, I guess I will check in.
Met hasn't done ANYTHING for me. I started Feb 1st and no results. No period, no weight loss. Just nausea. Ick! I go back to the doc in May to get clomid... thank god. I am so depressed that I am the only person I have met so far on Met that it hasn't worked for... this is the first time I have truly felt "broken."
Oh well... I will keep my head up and go back on the 5th! Yay! |

Hold on in there gal it will work
And as soon as i get AF as im today CD65 , i will be drinking met with my 100mg clomid, good BFP cocktail according to my gyni |

I had my 1st AF within 2 weeks of being on met, but until I get my next one (I'm on CD35 now) I'm not totally giving Met the big thumbs up. I've also had nausea and awful diarrhoea(SP?). I too am going back in May to get Clomid so I'm going to stick it out and try to keep positive. Good luck hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Helen - I am so glad the Met is working for you.
When I saw doc at work the other day, even he seemed surprised that it has done nothing. I told him, "I didn't call you because I am trying not to be one of those TTC patients but it really really sucks." That made him laugh!
Honestly, I am not all emo about it anymore. I think at the half way point, I hit rock bottom but now I am 3 weeks and one day from my next appointment where Clomid is probably my next option! Please let it work.
At this point, I am just looking for OV. Although a would be ideal, it is barely even in my scope at the moment. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, I too have PCOS and started metformin last August. I only started TTC about 5 months now. Luckily I have not experienced any of the side effects of metformin. It has regulated my period the last 3 monts I have had 31 day cycle. Unfortumately I have not been able to get pregnant as yet. The Dr Told me he'd like me to try for at least 1 year before we try fertility drugs. | | | | Status: Offline
