I'm Currently Feeling: | I original started taking Metformin to control my Weight
It plays nasty games with you! Be very careful when eating Lamb, Beef, and sausages! Avoid them if possible.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, i started drinking my metformin on friday, with postoval, it is almost like BCP but it's not, it's a hormone that regulates your AF also the whole 28pills in 28days story.
My gyni said, drink postoval and metformin 850mg first thing in the morning, and then the other tab just before i go to bed 850mg metformin. Now as soon as i have had AF i will drink as normal these tabs, but from CD5-CD9 with the clomid in the evening.
So im on CD55 today so should get AF CD77 if meds work. Good luck girls
PS; doc said metformin makes you like supper fertile |

| Starting on metformin today too.. Hi there,
Looks like we're all in the same boat..I'm starting to take metformin for PCOS today. Problem is my doctor didn't give me any information about building up the dose to avoid nasty side effects. Do you think this is definitely something I should look at doing? If so, anyone have any advice on how to do it?
It's so good to know that there are so many of us out there in this situation!

| Hi hun. I think it's deffinately a good idea to gradually build up the dose, but you should ask the doc what to do best for you.
I started on 500mg once a day for a week, then twice a day for a week and then finally 850mg twice a day. Although I have had some side effects, they have been bareable and now seem to have subsided.
Good luck hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Mrs I am taking Metphormin 500 mg three times a day and have had a major increse in eating sweet sugary foods. Was chatting to a nurse frind of mine who said I should get diabetes tests onec every 6 months while on it to make sure I am not becoming diabetic, as it causes a lowering of your blood sugar level so you could become I cant remember if it hyper or hypo. Would be worth a check also have lost around seven pound on it but have started walking and eating a little better. Best of Luck | | | | Status: Offline
