Hi girls,
I need some advice and I'll try and keep this short and sweet.

I am almost 34, been ttc 10 months, our 1st, I was on BCP for 16yrs constantly as I have very painful AF's.
In Sept 06, before we were ttc, I had a Laparoscopy for suspected Endo.
I am apparently all clear in there!! No Endo much to my great relief.
The gynie couldn't find anything wrong apart from the usual cervical erosion, which he said wouldn't affect conception.

Here we are on month 10 of ttc, since coming off the pill my cycles have been fairly regular (between 28-32 days) but they have started getting more erratic and I have had mid cycle spotting for the past 2 cycles!!!
This last cycle was weird, I am on CD38! Never had such a long cycle!!

I'm going to see my GP tomorrow....

Any advice as to what she will say or what tests she may advise I have done?
I recently had my usual pap smear and it was all clear.

Any clues as to the mid cycle spotting might be?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hi....i take it ur ovaries were all ok too? I had some mid cycle spotting in may....well it was a week b4 i was due on & there was quite alot of blood...i knew it wasnt a period tho....they thought i had pelvic inflammatorary disease, stupid a& e put me on antibiotics & everything!!! had scan which showed i didnt but they found polycysts on my only ovary. I ask about ur ovaries as with pcos you can get irregular periods. I have always been spot on 31 days but since that mid cycle spotting they have been a bit irregular...26, 28 & i am currently on 29....no period yet fingers crossed lol!
I reckon they will do blood tests on day 2-3 & day21 to see if ur ovulating & maybe a scan of ur ovaries.

that's what i think too... They must do day 3 and 21 blood test- these will test your hormones and would indicate if there's anything wrong. they might send you to an ultrasound to check for cysts etc. When do you spot? is it heavy? you may get ovulation spotting around O time.... Im 3y2, ttc for just under 2 years, I 've never used contraceptives, awlays had a text book 28 day cycle, never ever had any spotting until 3 months ago when i started spotting a week after ovulation .its minimal ( this month more like tinted mucous and only once in the morning for 2 days) but its enough to freak me out. It was havier the first month and this month was just a tiny bit on days 22 and 23. the first month i got it i had a 30 day cycle and last month was 27! I FREAKED OUT and went to test for stds- thinking of PID but all came back clear. i asked the gp- she raised her eybrows and said 'ovulation?' Yeah ...., more like implantation.... The most realistic one was the endo specialist (the fs sent me to her for investigation) who said it is 'probably hormonal imbalance, nothing to worry about' ....Hello.... Hormonal imbalance?...TTC... Nothing to worry about?.... Crazy woman! Anyway... Spotting might be a sign of low progesterone so worth investigating... I'm gonna ask the FS when i see her on the 30th to do an ultrasound to check for polyps (although theere were none in may) and a weekly hormone tests to see if it is indeed hormonal imbalance.... I just got to get to the bottom of it....
