Yes I rested for about a week after. I don't how I would have coped with less time in hospital and I understand many people have this as day surgery I couldn't even shower myself!!

The important thing to remember is that you do know something is wrong, even though it is so far 'unexplained'. There IS a reason for your infertility and you have the right to find out what is causing it. Don't settle for a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. I firmly believe that not much is known about endo and how it affects infertility because so many people do not treat it.

I just put the phone down to my best friend who went through almost exactly the same as me; unexplained infertility for 4 years, diagnosed with endo and treated then pregnant 6 months after surgery. She had a beautiful baby boy in January. It is worth looking into at the very least....even if your investigations end up ruling endo out.

IMHO there is no reason to take clomid unless you know you have problems with ovulation, (mine was always textbook 14 days) and this can be easily monitored with an OPK / temping. Clomid is not going to help with endo or blocked tubes so it would make sense to investigate these first. I had my first IUI before having a hysterosalpingogram. AGAIN, wrong way round!!! Clomid is only sucessful with jump-starting ovulation (and even then only about 80% of the time). So the health professionals are assuming this is the problem, which in my view is cheap and short-sighted.

Good luck!!!

I am in the unexplained club, too! All tests came out normal for me and my husband. We have been TTC for 14 months.
