Hi ladies

I too am in the unexplained infertility club. I'm 35 (36 next april) and the only thing that's truly bothered me from the start is my age. The thing is the FS hasn't even mentioned that in being a problem.

I sort of think they've given me Clomid and told me to go away for 3 months to pacify me - I certainly don't think I'm being looked after to a certain degree. I'm on cound 5 now and only one more left before IUI or IVF (we've got to decided as we have to pay for it due to DP already having an 11 years old son).

Started using pre seed as my ewcm is virtually non existant now and at this stage I'm willing to try anything. I haven't used any kind of birth control in around 6 years either and no little accidents have occured

xx

Bklyn, Your chart is fantastic, what's going on? Please give an update when you can.
Can you all tell my boss is back at work and summer is over? I am so busy at work I don't have time to surf BnB now much less think about whether I'm about to ovulate. Maybe is better that way though as I was obsessing too much. But I don't want to be diverted from my real priorities right now, baby making!!!!

Brumbar, I just finished three rounds of Clomid and started this cycle drinking grapefruit juice and taking Evening Primrose Oil. Wouldn't you know I don't need to use PreSeed this month when we are BD'ing? It is a total change after years of not enough lubrication, I can't believe it. So if you want to increase your CM, I highly suggest these two additions.

Good luck! RR

Hi,
Reallyready, thanks for asking. Very weird with the temps, they've been stuck on 98.6 for five days! I've tested my bbt and it's working, so I guess it's right. Anyway, it's a good high temp, so I'm feeling ok. Just trying to make it through this ttw without getting obsessive.
The grapefruit and EPO seems to be working great for you! When will you start doing opks? or will you this cycle?

choccielover, I know what you mean, the age thing has bothered me as well. So they're not giving you any scans or anything on the clomid? I wonder if there's any way you could get them to do that at least so you know if it's working....

I wouldn't describe it as horrid. It's an operation performed under general anaesthetic. Story is quite simple....I went in, they gave me some sedation and then knocked me out for two hours. I woke up and the surgeon told me it was successful and I stayed in recovery for about an hour. Then I had some bed rest. I had a drip with pethadine (analgesia) and a cathater. I was also breathing O2 for a couple of hours after the op.

I had the op privately (on insurance) so I stayed two nights. The care was excellent and the facility was amazing. I would recommend getting up and walking about as soon as you can on the day after surgery as your legs go all wobbly!! After I was discharged I was on some antibitics (I think) and some anti nausea tablets. I also got a load of photos they took of the endo before they took it out (nice!)

I really didn't feel like having sex for the first month or so. You feel quite bruised and bloated and the following month was December and we were quite busy with Christmas (although we did manage it a couple of times).

My surgeon told me I was likely to get pregnant within the next 12 months, probably within about 6.

I conceived naturally 7 months after my surgery It was completely naturally...no fertility drugs. As you may have read, I actually had an IVF cycle around five months after the surgery (it was scheduled before the endo was diagnosed) but it failed. I believe my body wasn't ready.

I hope that helps. Are you having a laparoscopy??

Hi

I'm also now in the unexplained club .. although our situation is a bit different, we were infertile due to very very poor morphology, but that has improved a huge amount so we are now 'unexplained'
Bit of a bummer really as we now have to wait another 3 years before we are eligible for any treatment

In my case we could try IUI (but paying for it) and then IVF

Hi Rach,
They're normally 26 days without the clomid, but last cycle on the clomid was 29 days. I'm expecting somewhere in between since I took clomid earlier and ovulated earlier this month....I had a strange dip today (went from 98.6 to 98.2!) so I really don't know what's going on. I would get excited about a possible implantation dip, but I've had so many false alarms with dips that I'm very skeptical!

Hi Unexplained Girls - I'm one of you!!

I"m 32 and have been TTC for 2 1/2 years. All tests on me and DH have come back normal. I haven't had any investigations done of my tubes yet as the local NHS hospital prefers to put you through 4 rounds of Clomid first. So I"m on round 3 and still nothing.

Thanks for creating this thread - I've found the stuff about endo really useful and am going to research it somemore in case it could be my diagnosis.

Good luck to you all
xx

Thanks Rach27 for the description of the lap. Did you stay in bed a week or so?

It's true Clomid is a first line treatment without looking into what's going on. With unexplained I'm really starting to think it has more to do with either endo or diet for me.

I'm already off alcohol, coffee, eat only organic, very little meat, lots of vegetables. Hoping it helps!
