wow, you are both so lucky!!

I also have twins on my dad's side... but I don't mind if I have twins or one. I want 2 in my life, so if they both come at the same time it will just be a bonus for me. I know it will be twice as much work, but I think I will just about cope.

All the best to you both!!

Congrats to you too Boo!

I totally wouldn't have minded having twins honestly, but DH would've been VERY freaked out and thinking about the extra work and since my family doesn't live really close it would've been really hard!

If you don't mind me asking... what were your symptoms? I know people on Clomid can have different symptoms, but I also know that it depends on the individual. Did you get a BFP straight away?

I was on clomid for two cycles. The first 50mg cycle I ovulated, but didn't conceive. The second 50mg cycle they told me I did NOT ovulate, so they gave me provera to bring on a period, then they wanted us to try 100mgs. I took the provera and AF never showed up. When it was 4 days past when it should have I took a HPT and got my BFP. I had more side effects from the provera than from the clomid. I did have hot flashes (feels SO weird), sore bbs, and one day of total bitch-dom, headaches and some dizziness with the clomid, but it was totally worth it!

Hi,

I was prescribed Clomid last October for a period of 6 months, 100mg on days 2 to 6 but I fell pregnant on the second cycle. Unfortunately I suffered a missed miscarriage 2 weeks ago at ten weeks so am now back on the TTC road. I am going to wait a few months before I think about going back on the Clomid as I believe after a miscarriage (and D&C) your fertility is increased.

Just to let you know I had little or no side effects on the Clomid. The only thing that worries me about is there is an increased risk of miscarriage associated with it.

I find this VERY frightening as i was NEVER told this! I was given a huge information leaflet on it but this wasnt mentioned - something which i will quiz them about when i go for my next scan on the 15th Feb - thanks for letting me know.

I was put on 100mg of Clomid and they performed folicle tracking scans on day 10, 12 and 16 of my cycle to check if i was ovulating and had then ovulated successfully. The reasons for taking Clomid is to either make you ovulate if you cant do it on your own or, like me, help you to produce two eggs therefore doubling your chances of conception. 100mg is the highest dose you can be on i think.

Noone told me there was a higher risk of miscarriage! Thank goodness I'm past that hurdle..she's kicking me right now acutally! I didn't have follicle tracking scan either..just a blood test. I wasn't ovulating which is why I was on it, but my doc said I could go up to 200mgs if need be (thank goodness I didn't have to!)
