I was on clomid for two cycles. I have PCOS, so I wasn't ovulating on my own. The first 50mg cycle I ovulated, but didn't conceive. The second 50mg cycle they told me I did NOT ovulate, so they gave me provera to bring on a period, then they wanted us to try 100mgs. I took the provera and AF never showed up. When it was 4 days past when it should have I took a HPT and got my BFP. I had more side effects from the provera than from the clomid. I did have hot flashes (feels SO weird), sore bbs, and one day of total bitch-dom with the clomid, but it was totally worth it! Good luck to all!

Hiya, yes I am on Clomid. Here is how it is going so far:

Round 1: Took Clomid day 2-6
Clomid S/E: Blurry vision and headaches day 3-5
Day 21 blood test showed that I ovulated. AF arrived day 28 - normal flow

Round 2: Took Clomid day 2-6
Clomid S/E: Cramping (but could have been AF... just seemed worse than normal) and headaches day 3-6)
Day 21 blood test showed that I didn't ovulate. AF arrived day 55 - heavy flow

Round 3: Took Clomid day 2-6
Clomid S/E: Headaches
Day 21 blood test - was on New Years Eve so couldn't have one. Day 33 - pink spotting, cramping and sore nipples - lasted for 3 days. AF arrived day 51 - Heavy flow, but very short

Round 4: Took Clomid day 3-7(thought I'd try it as others seem to have had more success on days 3-7
Clomid S/E: Mood swings, headaches, blurred vision and feeling nauseous
Currently on Day 6 - will let you know how it goes!

I know a couple of people who have been on Clomid... one has a healthy 15 year old daughter conceived on her 2nd round and the other has 10 year old boy/girl twins conceived on her 3rd round.

I hope this helps and I will keep you updated! All the best to everyone!!

Oooh maybe going up to day 3-7 (like I have done this month) might help then!! My prescription says day 2-6, but after reading that so many people have been day 3-7 / 5-9 and got a I chose to secretly go to day 3-7 this month. I have definately had more S/E this month... hopefully it is working!!

Im new here and i am now 5ish weeks pregnant after taking Clomid. It took 3 months worth to get pregnant and the side effects are managable.
Hot flushes are the worst, after the first couple i wore lots of layers and spend my day getting dressed and undressed!
Blurred vision did occur too whick was a pain as my eyes were itchy but over the counter eye drops a lot.

I do wish everyone trying to get pregnant the very very best of luck.

Wow Boo congratulations!! All the best for the next 9 months. You should let us know if you are having twins or not as I am curious as to how many people end up with twins from Clomid.

Thanks!

As far as the first scan went they could only find one bean so no multiple birth here! PHEW!!!!

Twins run on both sides of our family so i think we got a lucky escape!
