100mg clomid

hi i start 100mg clomid tomorrow and to be honest im not looking forward to it as i felt quite rough when i was on 50mg.

what side effects have anyone had with 100mg?

Hi Angie,

I was quite lucky with the Clomid TBH - I've been on 100mg from the start and my main side-effects have been hot-flushes - literally burning up/ sweating etc - fortunately as I took the pills just before bedtime, most of this happened at night so although uncomfortable it wasn't too bad! I also had headaches and I think I've put on a bit of weight - again not too much but my body has definitely felt different.

Took my 1st 100 mg this month had really bad hot flushes, i also took them at night but i woke roughly twice a night from sweating to much luckily it stopped jus before i ovulated. In the dreaded 2ww so fingers crossed they worked (also used instead cup). Good luck hun xx

I've done 50mg, 100mg and 150mg. I found with the 100mg I also got really bad hot flushes, sweating and dizziness. Although that was only for the month on 100mg. After that month, I had no bother with side effects, not even on the higher dose.

I am in my TWW after my first month on Clomid. I was started on 100 mg and I had every side effect in the book: sore boobs, mood swings from hell, hot flushes, headache 24/7, bloated, 3lb weight gain (that went away 2 days after I took my last pill), nausea, blurred vision, etc. etc.

I am on CD 17 and have been doing OPKs and have yet to get a positive. I am hoping I just missed my surge!

Hi there! Well, when I took 100mg of clomid in June, I had cramping, headaches and felt dizzy in the car. Good luck!!! :smile:

For 50 mg wasn't too bad, but 100 mg (at least the first month) was really rough ... headaches, hot flashes, even a rash

The second and third rounds of 100 mg haven't been as bad, but I still have my week of headaches. Oh, and the ovulation cramps aren't super fun, but it's not intolerable.

Hi there,

For me personally I found going from 50mg to 100mg the same no additional side effects. 50mg gave me the hot flushes but like Bexy I take Clomid at night so it's not too bad.

Im in my first month of Clomid, CD2-6 but am taking 50mg in a morning and 50mg at night, as instructed by my doc to lessen the symptons.

I didn't get the hot flushes, but did get a slight dizzy spell about an hour after taking each tablet, and had a raging thirst! I was drinking gallons of ice cold water! Probably good as it is apparently good for heloing keep you CM levels up! The Ovulation pains (I was already ov'ing - Clomid is to try and get my rather old ovaries going both sides each month) were very intense, and I suffered cramps and sore boobs for a good few days before Ov. I've also has quite a lot of water retention over Ov, but that seems to have settled down the last day or so...

I'm rather hoping the best 'side effect' is yet to come.....in the form of a BFP, but time will tell.
