Strange period after taking clomid

Hello...

I recently took my first dose of 50mg Clomid. My day 21 progesterone results were 37.5, which I think means I ovulated - really pleased as haven't ovulated for over a year!

Anyway, my period was due on Tuesday but I was spotting from Sunday and haven't really had a true period since - it's dark brown and very light. I'm not sure when to start my next lot of clomid - I'm supposed to take it from day 2 but haven't taken anything yet 'cos I've not had a proper 'flow' yet.

Do you think I'm safe to take it now or should I wait to see if my period gets heavier -but then will it be too late in the cycle??

Hiya

Just wondered if you've done a hpt? Worth checking. I thought that you were supposed to wait for the 'full' flow before taking the Clomid again. Can you call someone (nurse/gp) to ask for advice? The FMU that I'm under have a number you can call the nurse on if you have any questions.

Yes I did a test on the day my period was due and it was negative : (

I think I thought that because I'd ovluated I'd get a proper period - Just worried that if I leave it another day it might be too late to take it.

Thanks for your advice, think I will give them a call in the morning to see what they say. Nothing's ever easy is it?!

Hi!- I was on Clomid for a year, and I too got the strange bleeds from time to time. My Dr. told me to take the Clomid (day 3 for me) even though I didn't get a good bleed. Do you have to take anything to bring on a period? If so, you might want to wait a week take a HPT. If neg, take that med (like Provera) again. Restart your cycle.
