Anyone out there suffering depression?

Would love someone to talk to as would like to know its effecting anyone else's chances of pg. As for as i know i have no other fertility issues. Been off bcp for nearly 6 months. af normally regular in the past when off bcp, but been all over the place. Only got ov pain this month when usually get it most months.

I feel sad that i can not control my depression and it may be affecting my chances. Can anyone offer any advice

im so sorry for your pain, i dont suffer depression but i do have family memebers who do. i just wanted to tell you that i was off birth control for 4 months and i still wasnt pregnant so i went to the doctor and he told me that its really fine up til one year. (i am 23) this was so hard to hear when you want something so badly but i do hope it brings you some comfort.

i also wanted to tell you that i am sure that you are a very strong woman to manage depression and this at the same time and tho it may not feel that way that is very admirable strength to have.

Hi.

I've had depression badly in the past. It affected my monthly cycle more from a lack of eating properly than anything else. I too also always had ov pains every month but didn't when I came off the pill.

6 months isn't long to be trying compared to a lot of people so try not to worry about it and "blame" it on something because making yourself feel worse about it won't help and it may not be down to your depression at all. It could just be nature taking its time and it will happen when you least expect it!

I have depression, but it hasn't affected getting preg as hubby has male factor infertility.

Just wanted to share with you one of my favourite quotes:

"There is no evidence to suggest that stress causes infertility, there is plenty however, that infertility causes stress".

Anytime you want to talk, i'm only a PM away

My husband has severe depression and we were also both worried that he was just as effected with infertility problems as I was (because of my PCOS) that and the last test he had done 3+ years ago showed him to have a low count.

However, we began to except we couldn't have children and we just "made love" lol when we wanted to and oddly enough it was that month we fell pregnant - ok, I lost the baby but all the same we got pregnant. He still had the depression (that was non-infertility related) but having that extra stress removed helped us get pregnant - that and Folic Acid!
