Isn't it strange how we all have variations in treatment. IUI hasn't been been mentioned to me yet (maybe on Tuesday), but I suppose there's no point in IUI if there are no eggies lol

Does anybody know anything about injections? Is it the same stuff as they use in IVF, but a smaller dose? Or am I way off?

And do you do them yourself? I was told I would have to go to the hospital twice a week and i thought that was for injections, but would that be for scans instead?

I must get googling

Hi Mrs R

I would imagine if you're going to the hospital twice a week it'll be for scans rather than injections - as I think the injections will need to be done daily for a few days. I'm not 100% sure but I think that you'll be given similar drugs to those used in IVF but probably on a weaker scale, but you can let us know on Tuesday.

I was out for lunch today with the friend that went to the private clinic at the same time as me, and she was telling me about a work colleague who had been at the RFC on Tuesday. She's now on the NHS waiting list for IVF, but was told that from some time next year, NHS fertility treatment will most likely not be available for anybody that is overweight or who smokes. I guess that'll shorten the waiting list a bit ...

Good luck for Tuesday.
