I'm Currently Feeling: | Got our results today - not good We finally got the results of the 3rd sperm test today.
The motility rate has been our only problem, being at 15% then 30% and this last test it was at 1%...thats right 1%
As if that wasn't hard enough to take, we then find out that all other things in the test such as count, density, shape etc which were previously above normal are all now down way below normal...we're gutted.
We have a Drs appointment Wednesday to get a referal to a fertility specialist and that will then open a whole new chapter to this very hard journey...but hopefully one that will one day make us parents.
Thanks everyone for all your support, I just wish I was delivering good news |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks guys.
Tashy - I'm going to ask the Dr on Wednesday whether something could've affected that kind of a result. It is a huge decrease in everything. Does anyone know if its normal for it to fall like that?
At pathology when I dropped the test in, it was the same nurse as the last 2 times and she's really good. Wrote down some info then said she was going to put the sperm straight in the incubator and that the pathologist would test it in 1hr. I know that last time it was in the incubator for much longer before being tested and it was the best result yet. So I am hoping that maybe it was some kind of false reading...??
We hate this Dr that we're going to see but he is so easy to get into and we just want things to get moving. The specialist I want to see is about 5hrs drive away but we have family we can stay with. He is very good, a lovely man and he does do IVF too if we need to go down that road.
I'll let you girls know how the appointment goes...this Dr has no sympathy at all, last time he told us we'd need to do IVF then asked us why we looked shocked and 'so are you guys upset are you?' IDIOT!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've been doing lots of reading tonight on Australian IVF clinics and with our problem the proposed treatments etc. I *think* we'd be looking at IVF or ICSI, they may just want to try IUI first though.
So who knows Stacey, maybe we might be going through all those awful hormone injections together! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh FJL im so sorry.
I would definatley get a second opinion on the test, it seems such a drop from the last one.
I know you will get there, one way or another |
