they are used as an alternative to tmpons but in ttc they are used to hold all those spermies up close to your cervix in the hope of making their jounery easier-if you look back through on ttc i think there are a few thread from girls who use them
good luck

I fully believe that Instead cups helped me get pregnant this month. At first, I was nervous about using them - I was worried it would get stuck or something! But just read the instructions, and you can't go far wrong. You can't even feel them in there, and you can leave them in for up to 12 hours! That's what I did - I wasn't letting those swimmers go anywhere!

Definitely give them a go - best £5 I ever spent

I used them for the first time the month I got pregnant, and I know I'm not alone. There's a few out there who have had success after many months of trying without.

I think they are great in helping you get pregnant.....now all I need is something that helps me stay pregnant!

I use them!!

I agree with AutumnSky. They are really easy to use, you can't feel them in there and getting them back out isn't half as bad as you think it will be!!!! Always leave mine in for the full 12 hours too.

More than happy to send you a couple to try if you want before you buy some?

I'm with you Rach - after reading AS's happy news I'm thinking it can't hurt. Plus I'll be a bit more environmentally friendly when my first AF comes approx 10 months later ...

Hmmm - just had a thought - hope this isn't TMI.

Do you think you DTD in the normal way and then put it in - or do you get DH to do his bit in the cup and then put it in???

Told you it was TMI!!!

We DTD the normal way (him on top), and then I quickly scooted to the edge of the bed and put it in. Don't think it would work if he did his bit into the cup, because you have to squeeze the cup together in order to put it in, so you'd probably spill the majority of it on the floor (nice!)

AS - nice floor cleaning!!! I figure if DH had a 'normal' amount of say 30 million - and half of them came out after which must happen and people get pregnant.... then putting that cup in should keep them all in so hopefully it will help!

Hours of endless fun, enjoyment and practising... dear lord!!!
