When does long term ttc become long term??

Hi

We started ttc last May and still nothing! I have had blood tests and nothing! I have started taking Agnus Cactus this month but not holding out any hope! I have just got to wait for maybe nothing to happen! So is this long term?

Hi babycake69. My doctor said that LTTC was really after a year of trying. After a year, the doc sent me for tests and I started on the journey of seeing fertility specialists etc.

It is worth going to the doc to see what they suggest. I don't know where you live but in the UK it's worth getting on the waiting list as it'll take a couple of months for anything to happen.

You're very welcome on this board - lots of very friendly folk who have a wealth of experience.

Hi, my GP wouldn't do anything until we'd been trying for a year, then he sent me for blood tests when we had. Now that you have been trying since last May I'd go and see your GP and he'll hopefully start some investigations. I'd recommend keeping an eye on what was happening as in my experience things seem to get lost very easily and put on the back burner. Also read up as much as you can so that you're less likely to get brushed off with less than satisfactory treatment

I personally think it's whenever you feel hun! We haven't been trying for quite a year yet (not until July) but I felt I was more at home here these days rather than in the TTC board as I have PCOS and am on Clomid. Saying that I still post on TTC sometimes to for certain things. Don't be in a rush to stick a label on it, it just causes more stress as far as I'm concerned and that's one things us LTTTC/TTC ladies don't need anymore of!

Good luck in you journey! x x x
