The nurse scheduled it for the wrong day! I'm on CD20 and should have had the scan done on CD 12. It was too late! She said a couple of things I don't understand thought, she said that there was a sac in one of the follicles or somewhere? whats this mean? She also said there was several follicles in each ovary and that some had burst. and there was alot of free fluid in the uterus. I'm am so confused and irritated that the woman scheduled it for the wrong day. Guess we will wait and see if were pregnant and go back again next month if i'm not!

Good luck with your sticky beans and bfps!

After traveling down the uterine tube, the early embryo embeds itself into the inner wall of the mother's uterus. This process, called implantation, begins 6 days and ends 10 to 12 days after fertilization, Could this mean that the sac she seen could be our baby it just hasn't traveled down to the uterus yet?

No I think the 'sac' she is referring to is probably a cyst...that means it is a fluid filled sac. It cant be a fertilised egg as that could never happen in your overy...the sperm could not get there. It woudl only fertilise at the latest in the fallopian tube.

I too have lots of small follicles everytime I go for scans and one large follicle= cyst stayed around for months at a time. It is not an egg cos that would shrink away or be released at ovulation. When she says that the cysts have burst then they are haemorrhagic cysts, which means that they spill out in the ovary and it can be painful when that happens. Apparently, women live with cysts all their lives and loads of women get pregnant even with cysts....but I think that they may affect my hormones which is why I am getting messed up.

Its such a bummer you got the wrong day for your scan! Maybe you ovultated though?

Yeah, i'm positive that I ovulated. From CD 10 all the way to CD19 I was getting very definitive positives every couple days and for days at a time. I guess we will see in a week, what happens.
