5yrs+ TTC #1

Hi all xx

Was just wondering if there are other women who have been TTC for over 5 yrs. I have been trying for 9 years now, i have falling pregnant (7 times) but still no little one. Its been hard times but im not trying to let it beat me. Had tests and all have come back ok. I do have only one fallopian tube due to ectopic tho. Im just hoping that im not still trying in another 9 yrs!

Hi Little Hush .. I know exactly how you feel, we have been trying for exactly 67 cycles now ... So just over 5 and half years.
It absoloutley brutal .. !!!!
I am currently undergoing our first IVF cycle as I have severe abdominal adhesions that have caused both of my tubes to twist so the little swimmers cant get through.
Are you currently undergoing any treatment ?

I am so sorry you have been through that!! I am guessing you must have tried everything in 9 years? Hopefully one of these days the pregnancy will stick. Have they investigated what could be causing the m/c? have they checked for chromosomal problems? what exactly have they done tests for. Sorry to ask so many questions but it seems awful for you that you still have nothing to work with after 9 years.

I have had all blood tests, HSG and scans all normal. When i had the ectopic i was told that IVF (never went for IVF as me and ex husband werent getting on) was really my only hope as they said my other tube was twisted, so for 3 yrs nothing else was done. But when me and ex husband spilt and i met OH i fell pregnant within a couple of months. So they did tests. And when i had the HSG my tube was fine.
I have now on baby asprin so giving that a go, if i have another mc then i am going to be referred to a specialist in london.

Wow, that is a long time trying. I admire your strength.

But it sounds like you are on the right track now, so hopefully you will get your little one very, very soon.

Hi Little hush

We've been ttc for 5 1/2 yrs now & unfortunately suffered 2 mmc, 1 from a natural pg & 1 following IVF. I'm on my 4th IVF attempt now, so fingers crossed. I never thought I'd be here, but hey ho! Probably the most difficult thing we've had to deal with, as I'm very sure you're aware & understand!! It's nice to talk to people who are in the same boat, although not a nice boat to be in!!

Good luck with everything & happy to chat whenever!!

Love Jayne xx
