Help .. a quick Clomid Q ..... pretty please

Hey ladies

Sorry to bother you all but I wanted to check something ..

As most of you will know my 2nd cycle on clomid was unsuccessful and I'm now starting my 3rd lot.
I'm CD3 today and meant to take the 1st clomid tablet last night and totally forgot to take them to my DF's parents where we stayed over night. So missed out taking the 1st tablet on CD2 ....

I was planning on starting it tonight (CD3) and carrying on as usual .... will it be ok? anyone else take it CD3-7? Rather than CD2-6?

Now I'm all worried I've screwed up my last round of it

When I was on clomid I did days 3 - 7.

I'd probably let your Dr. know though. If you are being monitored, it might change the day they want to do the blood test and/or ultrasound.

good luck!

Hi Farie,

I was prescribed Clomid this morning (yey!) and asked the consultant if I could start straight away seeing as I am on CD3 so didn't want to wait till next month. He said no problem. I reckon you'll be fine.

Interested to see Latestarter's comment about ultrasounds. I'm not having an ultrasound, just Day 21 progesterone blood test. Is this normal?

I think it varies from dr to dr. I was on Clomid and am now on Tamoxifen (basically the same as Clomid but helps thicken the lining of my womb too), and have an ultrasound every month between days 11-13, but I do know some drs only do cd21 bloods and a few don't monitor at all.

I think the reason my fs does the ultrasound is that they like to check how many eggs there are, as if there are more than two they recommend you abstain due to the risk of a multiple birth!

Hope the clomid does the trick for you and you get your soon!

Steph
