What are the signs of Anaemia?

My Mom thinks I'm Anaemic.
I am very pale (not normally),
Lack of energy (can't even go shopping

),
Constant tiredness.

I really do feel like crap. I just wish I could sleep all day and night

What are the signs and how could I make myself feel better?

Eat lots of iron enriched foods such as baked beans, brocilli and liqourish (sp) Im anaemic and Im alwayss tired =[ Ask your midwife about it and she may send u for a blood test, its easy to pick up. Dont worry, it doesnt affect your baby he will take everythin he needs even if it leaves u with nothing!! xxx

hi im anemic my mid wife tested me for it at my 28 week apointment , i just felt like crap all the time and was dizzy and seen flashing lights , think all midwifes test you for it at 28 weeks xxx

Got bloods on friday, M/W didn't say what they were for though. guessing it's the ones you just mentioned. Thankyou xx

TBH I was anemic awhile before I was pregnant and I'm not anymore; a lot of symptoms I experience with pregnancy are the same as anemia. Like fatigue, being pale (not the best indicator as it's winter & I can't tan pregnant!), difficulty concentrating, moods, etc. So if you think you might be anemic, just bring it up to your MW or doctor and they'll probably check you out for it
