Is he going to be short??????

Hey girls.
Now this has not bothered me till now and would not even be an issue if i was having a girl but i was wondering what would determine my sons height!!

Im 173cm (tallish for a women) and oh is only 176cm (short for a man) my dad however is 183cm, my mum is really short like 163cm.... Oh mum is short maybe around 165cm like my mum and his dad well he wasnt overly tall cant tell u measurements as he has died and noone knows them

Is it likely that my son will be short??? (oh god) i will still love him just as much of course but i would not wish it upon him... Or could he maybe get the height of my grandpa etc... Anyone know of tall boys in short familes... What do u girls reckon etc?

sorry for this stupid thread, its sorta just started nagging at me

hey my ex was 6 feet his dad was maybe 5'8 his mom 5'5
well his brother was 6'4ish there is always hope

the oposite im 6 feet (i know crazy tall) and i hope my daughter
(if i have one) is not tall so maybe i can send some of her
tallness your way lol

Hey there, not a dumb thread hun, a valid question.

My mom is 5'1 and my dad is 5'6. I am 5'7.
My hubby is 5'11, his dad 5'11 and his mom 5'6.

It's a part of genetics, but also think of all the preservatives and adatives in the food nowadays. Kids are growing at enormous rates that exceed their ancestors.

A point, my niece has DD40 breasts.. NOBODY in either side is that big.

we're mostly short-average height in our family. The occasional tall man, like my uncle. comes out of no where every couple of families (milk man?). All of the women are built like dutch mothers (child bearing hips and big boobs) and all the men are shortish and stocky, or shortish and whip thin. I already feel bad for passing on the boob gene to Charlotte, lol, poor thing...

My dad is about 6ft2 and his mum and dad were both quite short. His dad was about 5ft5 and his mum 5ft so I think there are other factors rather than just parents height.

There really is no telling ever. Short people can have tall kids and tall people can have short kids. I wouldn't worry.

my lo was induced for being small (10% centile). I am 5ft 1 and oh about 5ft 5 or 6. Hes now in the 50% for weight and 97% in height at his last big check.

My brother and lots of the men in my family are 6 footers so mybe thats it
