raised bp at hospital appiontment

Hi i am 28 weeks had scan yesterday and consultant appointment as had stillbirth and miscarriages.
everything was ok apart from bp was 118/92 i was quite nervous and been there for two hours.anyone else had bp like this.

Hun mine raises most times i go to these appointments, fingers crossed it calms down next appointment. xx

Mine made it up to 87 as the bottom number and I got hugely paranoid about having pre eclampsia, every twinge in my head got me all worried as I'd been told to ring up if I had any headaches.

I used a bp monitor at DP's parents house a couple of days later though and it was normal.

It was down to 80 at my last appointment.

DPs dad went a bit overboard on the whole bp thing and used to take his monitor to his appointments then sit in the car after them and take his blood pressure - he found even if it was high in the drs it was normal fifteen minutes later so it that could have been the reason yours was high.

Hope it's back down at your next appointment xxx

Hun mine was 165/92 for the last 2 weeks. They prescribed me a prescription that has brought it down quiet a bit, so they might do the same for you.

I've been having this too, my BP has been high and the consultant at the hospital wrote to my gp and said if it gets any higher then I'm to go on BP tablets, but whenever my midwife does it its lower so she seems to think that it's just worry from being at the hospital. I also voiced concerns to MW about Pre-eclampsia and she said that I can go and see her every week if I like to have my BP and urine checked if it puts my mind at rest - perhaps a chat with your midwife might help, she may offer to see you more often. I know its hard not to stess - hope you feel better soon xx

Hi, I've had perfect bp all the way through until this week. Monday was 135/85 then mw checked again on wed at it 140/100. Sent me to the hospital for monitoring, they wouldn't take it straight away and told me to relax in a chair for half hour. They took it and it was 117/75. Don't really know what was going on there but as the urine test was fine they just told me to come back if I developed headaches/blurred vision. Friday I felt unwell so went to see the nurse to double check and it was still ok. It is worrying but I think there only concerned when its a combination of factors, you can always get it checked at your surgery if your worried.
