ok a bit early to panic but im in a PANIC

excuse the panic but I have had 4 painful contractions (BH?) in the last half hour. they are not like proper labour contractions as they are shorter (maybe 40 seconds) but they are sharp along my hips like i remember labour contractions and i have a dragging down feeling in my tummy all the time.

what can i do! I dont want my baby to come now!, please tell me this is normal!

sophie

ok i have timed them and they were at these times:
16:44.
16:49
16:54
16: 58
15:03

so i think they are too close to be real early labour pains - they are not bad enough to be that close thogther lol ..I am waiting for my husband tyo come home (he will onyl be about half hour now) then im going tyo have a bath and see if that helps

I think its all practice pains, i have been getting the same for a few days now. At least a few times a day now i think maybe im in early labour then it disappears and comes back later.

well after a bath and a nice lie down things seems to be calming a bit, I am still getting the occasional pain but seems to be easing off. I hope this isnt going to be a daily event because it is fairly restrictive if it is!

Hi Hun

Hope you are feeling better, I dont really know what to expect myself as this is my first pregnancy however a close friend of mine has been having contractions every time she trys to push herself too much with housework etc, which calm now when she is resting and shes 35 weeks; maybe you just need to relax more, I would give the MW a call just to set your mind at rest though. Hope this helps
