Reduced fetal movements...

I'm not feeling the baby move much. About 5 weeks ago I went to the hospital with little fetal movements and found out that the baby was lying in a weird position, which is why I couldn't feel it much.
I'm getting paranoid again, but don't want to go in and have them tell me that the baby is "not only moving...but moving A LOT!!", like they did last time.

I guess I'll wait it out a bit and see. I wish the baby would just give me a few good wallops!!

hiya we all seem to go through this stage in pregnancy, and i agree that better safe than sorry if you really feel you havent felt anything in a long time, but remember that space is getting tighter now for the baby. my doctor said the best thing to do is morning , afternoon and evening sit down for half an hour/20 min and count ten movements, that way you know three times a day u have felt the baby move and wont start thinking hmm did i feel it today. if you dont feel movement for a while eat something or drink something sweet and lie on your left side for 20 min , if you still dont feel anything dont panic just wait an hour and see if you feel in that hour, if not then id get checked out.
i totally understand your "dont want to come off looking silly" dilema , enjoy the rest of the pregnancy nearly there !

Babies go through periods of rest, my nurse told me that they sometimes "sleep" while we're not sleeping, and that they're awake sometimes when we're sleeping.. also if you're busy doing anything you might not notice movements. I'm not sure how often it is that you need to feel movements but I agree if you're concerned you should head over to the hospital and get it checked out, maybe a different hospital so you don't feel like the lady who's there every week.. but better safe than sorry!

I had the same thing, albeit a lil earlier than you, at 26 weeks I had one day where I felt little. I went down to the hospital and they were great and I would so do it again. Their getting paid to care for you, so make the most of it! Hey you may even get a nice lil scan or a doppler done, which is always nice xxx
