Until I can get my iron prescription from doctor?

My friend takes them (and she's pregnant) but I guess I just need a few people to tell me it's okay... im' such a paranoid idiot lol!!!

Yeah there fine!i take a local pharmacies own brand iron tablets ... alot cheaper!!!

Vitamins are so goddam expensive!!

Yeah, far as i know they're ok, but im not sure if they will do much. I was taking pregnacare with iron and still managed to become anaemic after a stomach bug. Told the doc and she said these werent much use as they are only v low doses whereas the ones that you get on prescription are 350mg per tablet. So id try and get to the doc for that scrip as soon as possible to make sure you get your levels up properly.

Oh yeh, i've got one but I can't collect until tomorrow afternoon so I thought these will do in the mean time.. solong as they did no harm

I don't think these iron pills do much unfortunately. I'm on 400mg of iron a day after my count dropped to 9.5. I was taking 2 of those kind of own brand iron pills a day. If you're just waiting on a prescription i'd say they're fine but if you're not waiting on a prescription i'd look for something a bit better

Hmm ...not anymore, I used to get them free on a medical card but its expired atm ...which reminds me I gotta re-apply!!
My doctor didn't write me one?!

What did your doctor prescribe if you don't mind me asking?!

I was given ferrous sulphate 500mg then dropped to ferrograd slow release. At 325mg.

Hmm ...not anymore, I used to get them free on a medical card but its expired atm ...which reminds me I gotta re-apply!!

Summit Sulphate according to the person on the phone (I think it was that anyway)

Oohh.. here you get a free NHS exemption card for free prescriptions and free dentist.. thought you'd get the same *frown*

I need to get my prescription but am feeling exhausted! which is probably down to low iron. So I think I just better leave the house!
