need advice re: waters

hi ladies
im in need of some advice.
i live on an island off australia, its currently 730pm, and im a little confused.
i woke in the middle of the night last night and felt a little 'damp' down there , when i stood up, i had something trickle down my legs,i went to the bathroom as i had to wee anyway and put on a normal pad and went back to bed.
i woke up about 2hours later and my pad was pretty much soaked, so i put on a new one and went back to bed. woke up this morning and the 2nd pad was wet but not soaked, so i figured it wasnt my waters.
anyway, ive been a little 'wet' () all day today but im pretty sure im not leaking, more like a little dribble occasionally. (i mean a small little dribble, not much at all). so im assuming this isnt my waters as i would continue to leak, correct ?
the thing is, i cant just go and get checked, as i said, im on an island. i was admitted to hospital last week due to her HB and cramping and i cant afford to go back in to town unless im certain this is my waters as its $30 of ferry, an hour of travel and my husbands job would be at risk if he needed to take the time off of work to take me. also i would have to catch a fair few buses with my nearly 2yr old, which is extremely hard when im not heavily pregnant. so you can see my dilemma.
im really not sure what to do.
do i just wait and see if i leak more and if not , then leave it ?
there is a drs on the island, but they wont check, they will just send me in to town.

With the amount of fluid it sounds like you lost, I really would go get checked. If it was your waters, you could be at risk of infection, and low fluid can be dangerous for baby. If no one else can take you, I can't see how your husbands employer could fire him for having to take the time off to go with you?? I know it's expensive and a pain if nothing's wrong, but to know your lo is ok it's worth it. I have to go the hospital 2-3 times a week. 2 buses and takes 2 hours each way, but I do it to know my little man is safe. I really think you should ring and at least get their advice on what to do x

I think due to the fact it trickled, and has soaked some pads.. I'd call them up hun.

It'll be worth it.. maybe go on your own (without OH) and if he needs to come down then he can do... that way, if it's nothing - he won't have had to take time off of work. <3

Please get it checked out x x

I think if it soaked a whole pad (or was it a panty liner?), you should get it checked out at the hospital. That seems like too much fluid for discharge. I wish it wasn't so difficult to tell the difference Please update us, hon!
