Another scan, another gender AGAIN!!! [UPDATE pics on PG3]

Hi Ladies,

I can't get over the shock we've experienced yesterday. Couldn't sleep most of the night.

At 12w 5d nhs scan we didn't learn the gender as sonographer couldn't tell.

At 19w 3d nhs scan was told a healthy BOY! ( she wasn't 100% sure & had poor views), but we believed, we don't have a potty shot though.

At 23w 4d I really wanted 3D scan as expecting our 1st, it was before Xmas, so DH booked us (for gender 'reassurance' scan) at babybond. We've been told the opposite, it's a GIRL!! What!?? Instead of being REASSURED we've been completelly CONFUSED! (Got kind of potty shot but couldn't tell much what was what.)
But never mind, as I have always wanted to have a little girl first, I was over the moon . Xmas was round the corner, sales just started and I went PINK mad .

Lately when reading some of the threads and posts about wrong gender scans here on b&b, looking at all those pink clothes ( thank god most of them still have pricetags on) I started to be in doubt, had really odd feeling

So last saturday after reading ilovemypeanut update I felt a need to be really reasured and was hoping to have last scan which would just confirm that we're having a Girl. I was so unhappy on saturday about the way i felt , when my DH came home from work, I told him....., as I can't have a scan under nhs because my pregnancy and our bubba are doing very well, NO medical problems at all (which I'm absolutelly thrilled about ), MW said there is no reason for me to have another scan .

In the end we decided to go for babybond and got booked for sunday afternoon (yesterday).
And yesterday at 30w 4d we were told we're definitelly having a BOY!!! WHAT!!!????? We were absolutely shocked! She said his willie and scrotum were very obvious, she doubted they would disappear. Couldn't see his face though as baby was covering it's face most of the time. So we were told to go for a walk, maybe later we'd get some nice face pic. But our baby was stubborn, couldn't get nice shot of his face, but had really good view of his boys parts AGAIN.

So what I have to do today is go back to those shops and try to return all girly clothes. Hope they will be understanding and will refund most or at least exchange. Am really dreading it, what an embarrassment it will be, grrr.

DH will upload scan pics and change ticker later this evening when he comes home from work as he does it for me because I don't know how.

So we're having a beautiful healthy baby boy . Woow !

UPDATE: Please see my post on page 3 for pictures

How awful that they couldn't get it right for you and you have to take things back. I'd be in shock if I popped out a boy now!!! (even tho it was our original preference) we are used to the idea of a girl and have bought stuff!!

Omg! I'm sure the shops will exchange for you they might give you vouchers, it's not your fault after all! And the most important thing is baby is healthy and happy what a lot of coming and going though and thank goodness for your instincts telling you to check x

Woah, some of these techs are real numpties. Must admit though I hope my 20 week anomaly scan gender was correct...everything's ready for a boy. Having said that, welcome back to the blue side

Ack! This stuff makes me so nervous! All I have is girly stuff, and I'm still horribly afraid I'll pop out a boy. (Even though the sonographer said he was 100% certain on her being a girl... said "that would be the most confused boy ever!" too...) but still... all these stories lately. Freaking out!

Glad I get another ultrasound on Valentine's Day. I'm not leaving that room till they can check again!

I'm starting to wish I'd been really strict with myself now and only bought a few gender neutral bits instead of the tonnes of boy things I have bought!

Ah well I do still have all of my daughters stuff so I wouldn't have to buy anything else!

Hope you get all your pink stuff exchanged ok. Don't be embarrassed it's not your fault x x x
