i took mine off 5 wks before to look at it and it smelt a bit plasticy, so i've been airing it i pushed the hood back and just lay the plastic over the top so there was air still getting to it but still covered up..

Think I'd unwrap it too - you could stick a sheet over it to stop it getting dusty. Do it whenever you want to (I'm finding getting things ready makes me feel better!)

I'd unwrap it and put a cotton sheet over it so it can still breathe but not get dusty xxx

Its the hospital bag i cant stop going through out of boredom and excitment. Bet I still forget something even though its ready to go. And I cant stop smelling the fluffy bayb coat I bought for baby because I washed it in fairy and persil and I am near wanting to eat it it smells so good.

I've taken the plastic cover off mine now as they have a bit of a weird smell at first and it needs to air for a while before baby arrives. I'm not going to put any sheets on for a few weeks yet tho.
